Why does Christmas touch us so deeply? Certainly part of the reason is because one of the core themes is love revealed by the incredible gift of God to us in the Incarnation. But more than that, Christmas also represents the turning back of a world of darkness beginning with a single, seemingly insignificant, point of light; hope for the world contained within a helpless infant.
