Sermon, The First Sunday after Trinity, 2026
The Trinity season of the Church is focused upon spiritual growth, and we are reminded this Sunday that love is at the heart of spiritual growth. Growing in godliness is not some internal private things we do, but rather it is primarily about growing in love and service of others. Our spiritual disciplines are important, but we participate in them so that we can move into the world without fear and be Christ’s ambassadors. Let us not seek growth for growth sake, but let us grown so that we can be more focused upon God and upon serving the image of God in all of those around us. Propers …

The doctrine of the Trinity is more than just esoteric theological speculation. This doctrine represents for us our return to participation in the life of God.
