Blessing of the Animals for St. Francis Day

Animals bring great joy into our lives.

St. Francis loved all God’s creatures, great and small.  He was even known to preach the good word of Jesus Christ to them when he had the opportunity!

The feast of St. Francis is October 4, and it has become a custom to pray for and bless the animals in our lives in honor of Francis’ ministry.

We wish to keep this tradition alive at Christ the King Anglican Church, and therefore invite you to bring your beloved pets to Christ the King Anglican Church on Saturday, October 5, from 9:30am to 11am for prayer and a blessing.  It will be a fun and rewarding event, and all two-footed and four-footed friends are welcome!
